Dear hostel manager,

I am writing to you because I have booked a room with you, and I would like to cancel it. This is because when I did the booking I didn’t have any good relationship with my family to ask them if I could stay with them for a week. However after much talking my relationship with my sister has been fixed. This means that I can stay with her while I am in the city.

I would like to have my deposit that I made on the room back. I am very sorry for the inconvenience.  I will be by the hostel sometime in the next few days to pick up my money.
